Retkielämys Oy is a company based in Riihimäki, founded in 2024, offering a wide range of wilderness and nature services.
We want to create an experience for you while respecting nature. On our trips, you can explore nature even with a minimal experience, led by a wilderness and nature guide. We also organizing trips for special needs groups, and for hikers with reduced mobility or those who need other special attention.
We also have an online store where you can easily order the products you need for hiking.
The people behind Retkielämys Oy
We, the founders of Retkielämys, Mirka and Tomi Pärssinen, have been actively hiking for almost twenty years.
Our interest in nature and exercise has always been present. On our long hikes, we have noticed when we move in nature, our mind relaxes, stress disappears and, to top it all off, our fitness improves. While thinking about these things, the idea of offering nature experiences to other people also arose. Our company was born from this idea.
Our most important goal is to create a nature experience for our customers while respecting nature. We also want to enable wonderful hiking experiences for people of all ages and fitness levels, which is why our trips are basically so-called minimal experience trips.
Our specialty is also customers belonging to special needs groups, with whom Mirka has solid experience and expertise due to her profession as a nurse. Mirka works as a wilderness and nature guide in the company, and Tomi is responsible for the online store and product development. Tomi is also an assistant guide on trips when needed.
Our trips are carried out in accordance with sustainable development, respecting and preserving nature.
